3rd Shift Production Supervisor (job description)

We have partnered with a Global Industry Leading Printing and Packaging Company in Northern KY to lead a search for their 3 rd Shift Production Supervisor.

Ideal Candidate would The following:

• Background in Production Supervision in a manufacturing environment. 
• Bachelor's Degree
• Great People skills with the ability to manage diverse personalities on a production floor
• Data driven
• Experience in the Printing or Packaging Industry a Huge Plus

Position Description:

· Manage Finishing/Gluing team members during shift.

· Responsible for the day-to-day operation of the department’s shift, including Safety, Product Quality, Material Waste, and Labor.

· Also, involved in Strategic Planning, Budgeting, Capital Investment, and Organizational Development

·30 direct reports to this Supervisor’s shift

Primary Responsibilities:

· Operational responsibility for the department.

· Directs and leads the department to meet objectives.

· Responsible for operating cost of the shift.

· Supervises associates and others in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.

· Manage and implement safety initiatives.

· Ensure quality standards are being met.

· Create a culture which encourages participation, innovation and process improvement. Foster an environment of commitment and teamwork. 

· Develop and maintain relationships with customers and suppliers.

· Instill a culture of openness, honesty, integrity through solid associate relation practices and communication.

MACHINES, TOOLS, EQUIPMENT:

·8 color flexographic wide web printing press.

·7.5-ton overhead crane.

· Core baler.

· Safety knife

· Basic hand tools

Shift

·3rd Shift – 11pm to 7am
