Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Manager to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Santa Ana, California. This role requires a skilled and detail-oriented individual who can lead accounts payable operations, oversee team members, and drive process improvements. With over 10 years of experience, the ideal candidate will bring expertise in managing complex systems and workflows. Responsibilities: - Oversee and manage the accounts payable department, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments. - Provide leadership and guidance to team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment. - Develop and document processes to streamline accounts payable operations and improve efficiency. - Assist in the implementation of new financial systems, ensuring smooth transitions and alignment with organizational goals. - Monitor and enforce compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. - Collaborate with other departments to resolve discrepancies and ensure seamless financial operations. - Utilize tools such as Sage, D365 and bill.com to manage accounts payable workflows effectively. - Prepare and present reports on accounts payable performance and metrics to senior management. - Identify opportunities for automation and process optimization within the accounts payable function. - Ensure vendor relationships are maintained and payment terms are negotiated effectively. Requirements - Minimum of 10 years of experience in accounts payable management or a related finance role. - Proven expertise in implementing financial systems and managing transitions. - Proficiency in bill.com (preferably implementation experience) - Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and mentor team members. - Excellent organizational and communication skills. - Knowledge of industry standards and compliance requirements in energy or natural resources. - Demonstrated ability to create and document efficient financial processes. - Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field preferred.
