Organization:

Echo Lake Country Club, located in Westfield, New Jersey, is an esteemed 18-hole member-owned club with a rich history dating back to 1899. A recent $12-million renovation has transformed the 30,000 square-foot Clubhouse into a vibrant hub, offering three bars, banquet facilities, multi-level dining, expansive patios, and breathtaking Manhattan Skyline views.

Position:

Reporting directly to the Executive Chef, Chef de Cuisine, and Sous Chef, the Prep Cook will work alongside our team of chefs to prepare ingredients for our menu.

• Ability to work a full-time schedule of 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., including weekends and holidays.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task.
• Uphold all food safety and sanitation standards.
• Prepare items on prep sheets.
• Store, label, and date items as needed.
• Maintain clean and organized work area.
• Effectively communicate with co-workers verbally and in writing in English.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
• Competitive pay based on experience.

Knowledge, Experience, and Skills:

• Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role.
• Previous experience in high volume scratch cooking.
• Please note, prior experience is mandatory as this position requires standing for long periods of time and may involve lifting 20-50 pounds and performing physical tasks for extended periods.
• Knowledge of food safety practices and procedures.
• Proficiency in using kitchen tools and equipment
