Job Description

A prestigious law firm is seeking a Billing Coordinator with 2+ years of legal billing experience to join its team. This role requires a highly organized and detail-oriented professional who can manage billing functions efficiently and work collaboratively with attorneys and clients. The position follows a hybrid schedule of 3 days in the office or as business needs dictate after training. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Billing Coordinator to join a dynamic legal team and contribute to the firm’s financial operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and process monthly client invoices, ensuring accuracy and adherence to client billing guidelines.
  • Utilize 3E/Elite, Aderant, and iManage for billing operations, including time entry review, invoice preparation, and submission.
  • Generate and analyze billing reports to track outstanding balances and resolve discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and clients to address billing inquiries, adjustments, and payment issues.
  • Maintain compliance with client billing guidelines, ensuring proper coding and documentation.
  • Assist with electronic billing (eBilling) submissions through various eBilling platforms.
  • Reconcile accounts and coordinate with the accounting team for payment processing and collections.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing activities related to billing and accounts receivable.
  • Utilize Excel for data analysis, reporting, and reconciliation tasks.
  • Ensure confidentiality and security of financial and client information.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of legal billing experience in a law firm or professional services environment.
  • Proficiency in 3E/Elite, Aderant, and iManage billing software.
  • Strong working knowledge of Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and data analysis.
  • Familiarity with electronic billing platforms and LEDES billing format is a plus.
  • Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred but not required.

Salary:

$85,000 - $95,000 commensurate with your experience and qualifications
