Law Firm Billing Manager
Multi-practice law firm in Miami is seeking an experienced Billing Manager to lead their billing operations. If you have a solid background in legal, (law firm) billing, love digging into data, and have a knack for leading a team in a fast-moving environment, this could be a great fit! This is a key leadership role where you'll make sure the firm's billing runs smoothly, accurately, and by the book.
Running the show when it comes to the billing process — making sure client invoices are accurate and go out on time.
Leading a team of billing pros — training, mentoring, and giving feedback to help everyone do their best work.
Keeping firm in line with client billing rules and the firm's own internal policies.
Working closely with attorneys, clients, and the finance team to sort out any billing questions or issues.
Analyzing billing data to spot trends and suggest ways to improve.
Managing the e-billing platforms, ensuring invoices get submitted correctly.
Handling the "trickier" billing situations — ( appeals, adjustments, and write-offs)
Finding ways to make the billing process more efficient and effective.
Keeping solid records of all billing activity.
Staying on top of the latest in billing trends and regulations.
A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Admin, or something similar.
At least 5 years of legal billing experience, with 2+ years in a leadership role.
Strong working knowledge of legal billing software like Elite, Aderant, or BillBlast.
Experience with e-billing platforms and navigating client billing guidelines.
Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills.
Great leadership and team management chops.
