Under the general direction of the Town Manager, the Director of Planning provides administrative direction and oversight for all functions and activities of the Planning Department, including current planning, advance planning, zoning, and environmental impact studies. The Town of Apple Valley is seeking a collaborative, forward-thinking professional to serve as the Director of Planning. The Town is looking for someone with strong technical skills that can mentor and develop staff. The ideal candidate possesses the ability to organize and prioritize a variety of large projects and multiple tasks in an effective and timely manner as well as work with the legislative team in reviewing and analyzing proposed and new legislation.
The annual salary range for the Director of Planning is $134,616 to $190,212; placement within this range is dependent on qualifications and experience.
