Summary Join a team committed to supporting the whole family in their parenting journey! Rutland County Parent Child Center is seeking nurturing and collaborative Early Childhood Educators for our location located in Brandon, VT.
We are dedicated to helping young children develop and grow in a safe, nurturing environment, recognizing individual strengths, creating trusting relationships, and partnering with families and communities to ensure the best possible outcomes for every child. RCPCC uses a 2-Gen approach, working with both families and children simultaneously to identify needs and align programming to deliver services for long-term impacts.
Our Brandon team is currently seeking qualified assistants. Early Educators work directly with young children, ages birth through age 5. Lead Teachers plan and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum to meet objectives through hands-on, play-based activities. Classroom environments are created to engage children using philosophies ranging from Montessori to Reggio Emelia. Assistants and floats support the lead, connect with children, and may assist in multiple areas of the center.

Duties General responsibilities include: Assisting in the implementation of curricula activities and encourage participation by children.
Actively engage in activities; manage cleanliness, order, and availability of classroom materials.
Maintain frequent communications with families.
Help ensure smooth, daily transitions
Follow all center policies and state regulations.
Maintain personal professional development plan to ensure continuous quality improvement.
Requirements Qualifications: Preference given to those who qualify as at least a teacher assistant per VT Childcare Regulations. This includes a year of experience in a center-based setting AND completion of Fundamentals, OR a 3-credit college course with a focus on human growth and development OR completion of a high school program focusing on human services.
Considerations may be made for those wishing to pursue a career in Early Childhood Education, with at least a high school diploma, and experience working with young children.
