Shift: 1st Shift | Monday Friday | 7:00 AM 3:30 PM
Job Summary:
We are seeking an Electrical Technician II to join our operations & maintenance team in New Albany, OH. This intermediate-level role focuses on preventive maintenance and repair of electrical systems including HVAC controls, power distribution, generators, UPS systems, and control systems. You'll be responsible for prioritizing tasks, meeting deadlines, and ensuring all documentation and safety protocols are met.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain and repair facility electrical systems (24V 480V AC), including PLCs, VFDs, and control circuits.
Work safely around 13.8kV systems.
Troubleshoot and support infrastructure including servers, network equipment, SCADA, and access control systems.
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, ladder logic, and sequences of operation.
Follow NFPA70e and local, state, and federal codes.
Conduct preventive maintenance using CMMS.
Respond to and complete work orders, ensuring compliance with safety codes and standards.
Use test instruments and tools to perform diagnostics and drive energy efficiency.
Operate lifts and work at heights up to 30 feet.
Promote and follow all safety protocols.
Minimum Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent.
3 4 years of electrical experience in a data center, industrial, manufacturing, or hospital environment; or equivalent education and experience.
Ability to use aerial/scissor lifts and work at elevated heights.
Strong time management and self-motivation.
Additional Requirements:
Must pass pre-employment background and drug screening.
May require a valid driver's license and ability to obtain site security access badge.
Must be flexible to work weekends, holidays, and alternative shifts if needed.
Physical Requirements:
Repetitive wrist movements and extended periods of walking.
Ability to climb ladders/stairs, bend, kneel, and reach.
Distinguish wire color codes.
Operate standard office equipment and use Microsoft Office tools.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Special Requirements:
Must wear required PPE (steel-toe shoes, safety glasses, gloves, hard hats).
Comfortable working around chemicals and regulated materials.
Experience with precision measurement tools such as micrometers, dial indicators, and calipers.
Other Attributes:
Willingness to work overtime, holidays, or weekends based on business needs.
