Job Description

Licensed Massage Therapist - Per Diem:

• Provide safe and effective massage treatments to patients who have complex medical concerns.
• Review patient's chart (EMR), consult with patients, caregivers and interdisciplinary medical team members regarding massage treatment plan and suitability.
• Develop and implement massage therapy in accordance with treatment goals and any contraindications pertaining to patient's medical condition.
• Assess impact of massage treatment on patient experience.
• Prepare accurate, thorough, and timely documentation, record keeping and reporting in conformance with hospital, and departmental standards.
• As appropriate, promote massage as a non-pharmacological treatment option for stress, pain, and anxiety, among other symptoms.
• Navigate throughout the hospital providing care on various units including intensive and acute care units.
• Serve as a member of the Wellness team and participate in quality improvement and program development efforts of the Family Wellness Program.
• Demonstrate commitment to personal growth and authenticity.

To Qualify, you must have:

• An associate's degree required, bachelor's degree in nursing or physical therapy or occupational therapy or other healthcare related field.
• Certified in medical massage therapy required
• Two years providing licensed massage therapy required
• One year providing Clinical-based massage therapy required
• One year in a pediatric healthcare environment preferred
