Job Posting: Litigation Paralegal

About Us:
We are a fast-paced law firm specializing Probate litigation, dedicated to providing top-notch legal services to our clients. We are seeking a reliable and proactive Litigation Paralegal with strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills to join our dynamic team.

Position Overview:
As a Litigation Paralegal, you will support our attorneys in all aspects of litigation, including case preparation, fact-finding projects, and maintaining an organized index system for all case files. You will play a critical role in helping us meet our clients' needs by ensuring that cases are trial-ready and deadlines are met.

Key Responsibilities:
- **Case Preparation:** Create reports for attorneys based on case specifications and requests.
- **Legal Support:** Develop legal arguments, motions, and other case filings in collaboration with attorneys.
- **Research:** Utilize existing files and various research resources to gather information for pending cases.
- **Deadline Management:** Calendar and ensure all deadlines are met.
- **Court Compliance:** Ensure all court rules are satisfied.
- **Trial Preparation:** Work directly with attorneys on trial preparation, discovery, and strategy development.
- **Team Collaboration:** Be part of the trial team, working with all firm staff to take cases from retention to completion.

Required Qualifications:
- **Experience:** Minimum of two years of paralegal experience is REQUIRED. If you do not meet this requirement, please do not apply. The ideal candidate must be able to hit the ground running and handle complex tasks with minimal supervision.
- **Education:** Associate Degree in Paralegal Studies (Bachelor’s degree preferred) or paralegal certificate.
- **Skills:**
- Excellent communication and organization abilities.
- Strong research and report-generating skills.
- Proficient in using legal database software.
- Experience in logging and tracking billable time.
- Independent worker and self-starter.
- Ability to take direct constructive criticism and a desire to learn and improve.
- Trustworthy, with the ability to listen and take direction.

Remote Work:
This position can be remote for candidates with sufficient experience and a proven track record of productivity. However, we prefer in-person work for better collaboration and team integration.

Ideal Candidate:
This position is well-suited for individuals who are independent, self-motivated, and self-learners with strong organizational skills. It is not ideal for those who require hands-on training, highly involved management, or who find direct communication difficult.
