Hollymead Veterinary Hospital is a 4 doctor practice providing General Practice and Urgent Care services to the Charlottesville, Virginia community. Our team is seeking a collaborative leader who is passionate about continual team development and growth.

Hollymead Veterinary Hospital has deep community ties. As VETSS (Veterinary Emergency Treatment and Specialty Services), our hospital provided emergency services to the Charlottesville community for over 30 years. In 2018, as the landscape of veterinary care evolved, we began shifting towards urgent care and general practice services. Our rebrand to Hollymead Veterinary Hospital marks a thoughtful shift to better represent the care we provide today and celebrates our deep-rooted connection to our local community.

  • Full-time, experienced veterinarian with strong leadership skills
  • Collaborative, servant leadership approach
  • Role is approximately 80-90% practicing veterinarian duties and leading while on the floor/10-20% administrative

Compensation & Benefits

  • Full-time, experienced veterinarian base salary : $160-175k. Commensurate with skillset, experience, schedule and your preferred pace.
  • Earning potential on monthly, no negative accrual bonus plan and Medical Director bonus plan exceeds $220k
  • Additional opportunities to earn : Highly competitive monthly, no negative accrual bonus plan. Bonus plan is not mandatory (for candidates preferring straight salary). Equity opportunity available starting early 2025.
  • Relocation stipend
  • Bonus in exchange for multi-year commitment negotiable; commensurate with length of commitment, skillset and schedule commitment
