Pharmacist Position - Per Diem

Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced Per Diem Pharmacist to provide essential coverage, ensuring continuous operation of our pharmacy services. This role is perfect for a seasoned professional capable of working independently with minimal oversight. The successful candidate will step into a fast-paced environment, contributing immediately beyond basic orientation on our systems and policies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver exceptional pharmaceutical care, addressing clinical inquiries, verifying prescriptions, and ensuring accurate medication dispensing.
• Collaborate closely with healthcare providers to optimize patient outcomes.
• Stay abreast of pharmacy laws, regulations, and standards to ensure full compliance and patient safety.
• Efficiently process prescription claims using electronic health records and insurance billing procedures.
• Maintain a tidy and organized work environment, in line with our pharmacy policies and procedures.

Requirements:

• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree or Registered Pharmacist (RPh) in New York State.
• Proven ability to operate independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication, detail orientation, and time management skills.
• Flexibility to work on short notice for covering planned and unplanned absences.

What We Offer:

• Competitive salary: $68 - $72 per hour, based on experience.

Work Schedule:

• This position is designed to provide coverage primarily for planned absences of our existing pharmacist, including vacations and sick days, with 90% of the schedule known well in advance. There may occasionally be a need for short-notice support.
