Our products **Enable the Electronics Revolution** and help deliver the future of healthcare. **SUMMARY** Under the general direction of the Quality Assurance Manager, the Quality Technician plays a key role within the Quality Assurance team, this position is considered the "go to" person regarding metrology, ensuring all inspections are performed effectively and efficiently. This person plays an active role in supporting the daily production team, ensuring product and process conformance trends are measured, shared with the value stream team and improved. The quality technician also supports the New Product Introduction cycle, ensuring first article inspections are completed effectively and efficiently. **Shift: 1st; Monday - Friday, 6am - 2:30pm** **ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS** + Review technical data packages including source inspection lots + Review customer specifications, purchase order codes, and other quality notes from the purchase order. + Interpret requirements from procedures, specifications, work instructions, travelers, etc. and apply to inspection plans + Investigate customer and internal failures, support corrective action and failure analysis requests. + Coordinate and document problem-solving activities, root-cause analysis, and corrective/preventive action (CAPA/8D). + Review and assist with Material Review Board (MRB) disposition of nonconforming material. + Create quality notifications for nonconforming material in System Applications and Products in Data Processing (SAP). + Report daily Quality performance and corrective actions at the daily start up meeting. + Assists in training quality inspectors + Conduct periodic quality and process audits. + Plan and perform a wide variety of duties to prescribe, set up and evaluate testing and inspection of raw material, in-process, and finished goods. + Operates most electrical and mechanical inspection equipment including Instron Tensile Testers, environmental chambers, comparators, TDR, microscopes, amor arm, micrometer, calipers, tape measures, depth gages, ball gages and levels. + Interprets output data to determine pass or fail results, fills out test reports, CofC, FAI and organizes test results for finalizing. + Perform tests and inspections in accordance with MIL, customer, MSO and ASTM standards as specified. + Performs sampling or 100% inspection on inspection operations using visual and mechanical inspection methods to approve products for shipment or identify defective products. + Completes accurate inspection paperwork in a timely manner to document inspection data for traceability (routers, signature sheets, and final inspection sheets). + Maintains a high level of efficiency to move products and parts through the First Article Inspection Report (FAIR) process. _*Other duties as required in support of the department and the company*_ **SUPERVISOR RESPONSIBILITIES** This role is an individual contributor role. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform basic functions. **EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE** + At least 5 years' experience + Experience with completing and reviewing FAIRs. + Experience reading and understanding blueprints, such as Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T), and ASME Y14.5M. + Experience with Quality Assurance Systems and Applications, such as ISO 9001 or ISO 13485 + Experience in the medical, aerospace, military, and defense industries businesses preferred. + Technical degree in Metrology preferred + Associate degree (Metallurgical, Electrical, Quality or Mechanical) or equivalent experience, as a plus + Experience training Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing and product measurements preferred **CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS** + ASQ Certified Quality Technician or equivalent, preferred. **LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS** + Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. + Conversational in any other language is a plus. **MATHEMATICAL SKILLS** **Examples:** + Basic arithmetic: add, subtract, multiply, and divide whole numbers, fractions, decimals, and percentages. + Basic algebra: The ability to manipulate symbols and equations to find unknown values, express relationships, and model situations. + Basic Geometry: The ability to understand and work with shapes, angles, lines, and planes. **JOB SKILLS** + Intermediate knowledge of MS Office Suite and SharePoint. + Knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) software, SAP preferred. + Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills. + Strong verbal and written communication skills, including working with cross-functional teams. + Excellent attention to detail. + Hand dexterity, coordination, and accuracy. + Flexibility and the ability to function comfortably in a fast-paced, constantly changing, and ambiguous environment while maintaining a positive team environment. + Reliable and flexible to work additional hours on short notice to complete orders and/or special projects to meet customer or internal demands. **PHYSICAL DEMANDS** As part of their job duties, the employee must be able to sit, stand, and walk throughout the day while frequently using their hands to handle objects and communicate verbally.
