Your day as a Regional Medical Associate Director/Director (RMD), Medical Affairs - REMOTE

As the Regional Medical Associate Director/Director in Medical Affairs, you will play a pivotal role in cultivating and nurturing strong relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and study investigators. Your expertise will guide the design and implementation of Advisory Boards and Medical Information initiatives, ensuring that Beacon Therapeutics remains at the cutting edge of ophthalmology advancements. In this position, you will be responsible for facilitating open dialogues that foster collaboration, driving valuable insights that inform our strategic direction. Your efforts will not only enhance our product development but also create an impactful network that supports the sharing of knowledge and best practices within the industry. What you need to be successful

To excel as the Regional Medical Associate Director/Director in Medical Affairs, a robust background in ophthalmology field medical affairs within the pharma or biotech sectors is essential. Candidates must demonstrate experience in executing Medical Affairs projects, particularly in Medical Information, evidence generation, HEOR, Advisory Board planning, and Medical Communications. Successful applicants will have collaboratively led cross-functional Medical Affairs initiatives, showcasing excellent oral and written communication skills critical for innovating and creating impactful materials for both internal and external use. A strategic mindset and proficiency in relationship building will be vital, alongside strong computer skills with Microsoft Office applications. A customer-focused approach and a passion for engaging with stakeholders are paramount.

Experience in retina, gene therapy, or rare diseases is strongly preferred, and late-stage development or launch experience will enhance your candidacy for this role.

Knowledge and skills required for the position are:
  • Ophthalmology Field Medical Affairs experience in pharma or biotech
  • Medical Affairs project experience (Medical Information, evidence generation, HEOR, Advisory Board planning, and/or Medical Communications) in pharma/biotech or healthcare agency
  • Collaboratively led Medical Affairs projects cross-functionally
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills required
  • including ability to innovate and create new materials to be used both internally and externally
  • Experienced and strategic thinker and relationship builder
  • Excellent computer skills with Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong customer focus with a passion for customer-facing engagement
  • Experience in retina, gene therapy, and/or rare disease strongly preferred
  • Late-stage development / launch experience preferred
