As a Staffing Specialists, here’s a big-picture view of what you’ll do:
  • Manages recruitment and staffing functions to achieve business goals
  • Maintains knowledge of current regulations for healthcare staffing
  • Ensures continuous recruiting sources and availability of staffing professionals and clients
  • Manages applicants credentialing (using established guidelines for a Credentialing Verification Organization (CVO)) and reference check processes
  • Takes appropriate and timely measures to meet the needs of the staffing employees and clients
  • Identifies and resolves situations and problems by taking action, within authority limits, to prevent the re-occurrence of any negative issues
  • Engages in various internal and external activities aimed at enhancing sales and recruitment, such as conventions, seminars, and job fairs
  • Ensures and assists in the development of recruitment strategies
A few must-haves for Staffing Specialists:
  • Associate’s degree or equivalent years of training and work experience
  • Minimum of 1 year of recruiting and staffing experience, preferably in the healthcare industry required
  • Demonstrated successful interviewing and selection skills including recruiting and interviewing by phone
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail ,and computer software proficiency
