Structural Inspector - Engineering Firm - Base Salary to 100k/year - Gaithersburg, MD Our client is a structural engineering and consulting firm specializing in the repair and rehabilitation of structures, structural elements and waterproofing systems. They are a smaller, non-corporate organization that has been around for 25 years, working on commercial buildings, parking garages, condos, and apartments throughout the Beltway area. They offer a flexible, collaborative work environment with room for growth. In this role, the Structural Inspector will be working both from the field and the office in Gaithersburg. Experience in Inspection, who are comfortable working from heights and swing stage scaffolding is critical to success in this position. Knowledge in rehabilitation, repair, and waterproofing of concrete structures is ideal. Responsibilities: Perform construction inspections and analysis on existing building structures, exterior enclosures, and building components within systems Interpret relevant drawings and specifications Prepare daily field reports Assist with investigations as needed Work from heights, including swing stage scaffolding and other elevated work platforms Work both from the field and from the office, collaborating with internal teams Maintain good working relationships with property managers and clients, as well as colleagues Qualifications: ~2+ years’ experience in structural inspection or engineering required. Building envelope systems experience preferred ~ Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States ~ Ability to travel to job sites with personal vehicle at government rate mileage reimbursement ~ Ability to work both independently and with the team to fulfill client needs, including from the office and the field Compensation: ~ Base salary in the 60k - 100k/year range ~ Performance-based bonuses ~ Health insurance ~ PTO ~401k with match ~ Room for growth in a non-corporate environment ~ Flexible work schedule depending on project needs #INDVIS
