About the Role

We are seeking a talented and creative Freelance Videographer to join our Client’s team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute your video production expertise to create engaging content for a key client in a high-impact environment.

This is a 40-hour per week , 1099 contract position, with an anticipated immediate start date and an end date of December 31, 2025 . This is a hybrid positio n with working from home and at the client’s office in the Arlington, VA area.

Hourly Rate: Market level

Work Hours: The standard work hours for this position are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Travel: This position requires up to 30% travel, both domestically and internationally. A valid passport is required. The videographer must be willing to travel to foreign countries and remote environments, adapting to low light and environmental changes to troubleshoot camera functions and ensure proper exposure for footage capture.

Portfolio: Must have a portfolio to share.

Responsibilities

• Film and edit video content to tell compelling stories for social media platforms and other communication channels.
• Work within a communication team to produce short and long-form video content in alignment with departmental priorities.
• Capture high-quality A-roll and B-roll footage in various environments, including both low and high temperatures, adapting to different lighting and environmental conditions.
• Collaborate with diverse stakeholders and subject matter experts to understand their needs and produce content that meets communication goals.
• Adapt quickly to a fast-paced environment and produce high-quality products within tight deadlines.

Required Skills

• Bachelor's Degree at a minimum.
• 3+ years of professional experience in storytelling, video production, and editing.
• Expert-level proficiency with camera operation and post-production software (e.g., Adobe Premiere, Adobe After Effects ).
• Experience in content creation, execution, and editing for various platforms.
• 1+ year of experience or knowledge in a structured, government, military or similar highly-regulated environment.
• Strong collaboration skills and a solution-oriente d attitude.
• Ability to work with diverse teams and build strong working relationships.
• Strong aptitude for understanding, analyzing, and communicating complex problems with attention to detail.
• The ability to self-teach new technical and non-technical concepts.
